It was announced yesterday that there was a bug in BTC Pay Server which could cause loss of funds.
Now, I do not actually know how that could happen since in the context of Monero, it only uses the public view key and main address to generate subaddresses, but it's still important to upgrade.
If you are running this server, make sure to upgrade!
Monerica relies on it for sponsorship payments and was able to update the server within an hour of hearing about the issue. But others may still not have heard about this yet, so here it the warning in case you see it here for some reason.
To upgrade the server, go into it and update it through the portal. If you cannot do this and it says you need to do this over SSH on the server, do that instead. For those commands, ask an LLM. Then restart the server.
